I've been into miniature painting for the past 30 years and within that time, despite good intentions, by the end of a project my desk is overflowing with tools and paints! With a love of design and 3D printing, I decided to set out and design my own storage system that could be easily 3D printed. After many different design options, prototypes, and the occasional road block and change of direction, I arrived at TYLYX and felt I had found what I was looking for.
Skadis was the perfect structure to work off. I developed the tile based system to make it easy. No games of tetris, just install the tiles and go. Then I realised that Skadis comes in standalone form, and I realised I hadnt just arrived at a wall storage solution, but also a mobile desk solution also that can be easily tidied away (for those of us without dedicated hobby space)!
The tiles themselves are easy to print and install. And you can install and remove them without disturbing the ones around it, so you have the flexibility to re-arrange and expand your TYLYX collection.
